Karen Mutasa is a successful serial Entrepreneur, Philanthropist, and Venture Capitalist whose philosophy is leading authentically, having the courage to dare, and working within your purpose.
She has been involved in multiple businesses over the last 30 years, which include trend setting in the 90s with Silhouettes, Zimbabwe Super Model, Miss World to name a few. She has also been awarded multiple awards within Zimbabwe while being an actively sought-after Advisor on critical issues across the Government, Corporate and NGO landscape.
Karen is the CEO & Founder of The Skin Spa Group, a four-year consecutive winner at the World Spa awards. Within the Skin Spa Group portfolio is the Masawara Urban Retreat, Organikks Restaurant and the International Skin Spa College of Beauty which enables Karen to influence and grow the beauty industry by training the talent using the best international industry methodology.
Karen also sits on the board of the Cresta Hotels Group, a prominent Hotel Management company which was incepted in 1957.
She is also a shareholder in CADCO which has since rebranded to Nuance SSA after merging with African Sales South Africa. Nuance SSA distributes over 30 global luxury cosmetic brands in Sub- Sahara.
Her philanthropic work has seen her work with ZIMPACT, KIDZCAN and most recently she moved swiftly to form the Solidarity Trust Zimbabwe in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. Using Solidarity Trust Zimbabwe together with a dynamic team of trustees they embarked on an ongoing project to resuscitate Zimbabwe’s health sector and was able to fundraise and reopen a hospital that had been closed for many years. SOTZIM also works closely, and in collaboration with the Ministry of Health and Child Care as well as Multinationals, NGOs and Corporations.
Karen is happily married to Shingai, and together they are blessed with three children. Mrs Mutasa enjoys watching sport, cooking and is a proud ambassador for Christ.
